Product Overview
Fortune Electric has built power and distribution transformers since 1969. Its oil-immersed power transformers include step-up and extra-high-voltage units; examples built include 345 kV 300 MVA, 230 kV 350 MVA, 161 kV 290 MVA, 138 kV 240 MVA and a 33/11 kV 10/12.5/15 MVA unit with 46 dB noise level.
Distribution transformers are made at the Chung Li plant with automatic core lamination lines and welding robots. All transformers are designed, built and tested under an ISO 9000 quality system.
FORTCAST cast resin dry-type transformers are flame-retardant, non-explosive, crack-resistant, moisture-resistant and mechanically strong, with high overload capacity, good heat dissipation and no partial discharge. Amorphous metal core transformers (oil-immersed and cast resin) have core losses of about 1/3 to 1/4 of silicon steel units, saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions.
